About MagMaker Hub
What is MagMaker Hub?
MagMaker Hub is an independent resource and community for magnet makers around the world.
I created it because I wanted somewhere makers could explore different machines, software, supplies and resources without every answer being tied to one particular product or brand.
Whether you're thinking about starting, have just bought your first press or already run an established magnet-making business, MagMaker Hub is here to help you research, learn and connect.
Who is MagMaker Hub for?
Everyone — from people who are only just thinking about starting through to established magnet-making businesses.
You don't need to own a particular machine, use a certain supplier or even have started your business yet.
Is MagMaker Hub only for Australian magnet makers?
No. MagMaker Hub is a worldwide community and most of the digital resources, software information and press guides are relevant internationally.
There is also a dedicated Australian Supplies section for makers looking for products and sourcing options within Australia. Worldwide supply resources will continue to grow over time.
Why did you create MagMaker Hub?
When I started my own magnet-making journey, I found it surprisingly hard to find independent information comparing different machines, suppliers and ways of doing things.
A lot of the information available naturally came from businesses selling their own product. I wanted to build somewhere makers could explore multiple options and make their own informed decision.
I'm completely new. Where should I start?
Head to the Start Here page.
It explains the basic types of magnets, what equipment you actually need and the things worth thinking about before you spend money on a setup.
Recommendations & Affiliate Links
Is MagMaker Hub independent?
Yes. MagMaker Hub is independently owned and run and is not exclusively tied to one press manufacturer, software platform or supplier.
Some brands featured on the Hub have affiliate or referral relationships with me. Those relationships have generally developed after I've used and genuinely liked the product and then sought out an offer for the community.
Do you personally test the products you recommend?
Where I personally recommend a product, I aim to base that recommendation on my own use and testing.
I've personally tested the presses, papers and products I actively recommend, and I test the templates and resources I create myself.
The magnet-making software page is currently different: it acts as a directory while I work my way through testing the various platforms. A platform being listed there does not automatically mean I endorse it.
How do affiliate links and discount codes work?
Some MagMaker Hub links and codes are affiliate or referral links.
Where an offer applies, you receive the advertised discount or benefit and I may receive a small commission from the company for referring the purchase. It doesn't add an extra cost to your order.
That income helps fund new products, equipment and software for testing, as well as supporting the time involved in running MagMaker Hub.
Does MagMaker Hub tell me which machine is the best?
No — because there isn't one machine that's right for everyone.
Budget, location, products, workflow and expected order volume all affect which setup makes sense. My goal is to give you useful information and options so you can decide what works for your business.
Shopping & Digital Products
Can I buy physical magnet-making supplies from MagMaker Hub?
Yes. MagMaker Hub stocks a growing range of physical supplies for Australian magnet makers, including packaging and magnet-making components.
Selected Enters machines and supplies can also be purchased through MagMaker Hub.
Why does an Enters machine cost more through MagMaker Hub?
Buying directly from Enters will generally be the cheaper option, and I want to be transparent about that.
The MagMaker Hub purchasing option exists primarily for Australian customers who want access to payment options that may not currently be available when buying directly.
The Australian resale price also needs to cover costs such as GST, Shopify and payment processing fees, business insurance, administration and customer service.
If you don't need those payment options, you're absolutely welcome to purchase directly from Enters using the MagMaker Hub discount code.
Why doesn't MagMaker Hub promote equipment resellers?
Where possible, I prefer to help makers find equipment directly from manufacturers or established suppliers.
One of the reasons I created MagMaker Hub was to make it easier to understand where equipment comes from, what options exist and what you're actually paying for.
The Enters products available through MagMaker Hub are offered as an additional Australian purchasing and payment option rather than as the only place to buy the equipment.
What happens when I purchase a digital product?
Digital products are delivered electronically through Shopify Digital Downloads.
You'll receive access to your files via email after purchase. If I later update the files included with your purchase, you'll also receive access to the updated version.
Can I sell products made using MagMaker Hub digital files?
Unless the individual product says otherwise, eligible MagMaker Hub digital resources can be used to create physical end products for sale.
You may not resell, redistribute, share or upload the original digital files, or modify them for the purpose of reselling or distributing them as your own digital product.
Always check the licence information included with the individual resource.
Do I need Canva Pro to use the blank Canva templates?
No. The blank Canva templates are designed to work with a free Canva account.
Can I return a digital product?
Because digital products are delivered immediately and cannot physically be returned, digital purchases are generally non-refundable.
Please check the product description and compatibility information carefully before purchasing.
What is the returns policy for physical products?
Eligible physical products are covered by the applicable MagMaker Hub returns policy.
Please refer to the current Returns Policy for full conditions and instructions.
Community & Support
What is the MagMaker Hub Community Wall?
The Community Wall celebrates the businesses and makers that make up the MagMaker Hub community.
You can join whether you're still planning your business, have just started or have been making magnets for years.
It's free to participate and is simply about being part of a community where makers can connect, be seen and cheer each other on.
Can I contact you for individual magnet-making help?
Absolutely — but please have a look through MagMaker Hub first.
The Start Here, press, software, supplies and resources sections are designed to answer many of the questions that come up regularly.
If you've looked and still can't find what you need, you're welcome to contact me and I'll help where I can. MagMaker Hub is independently run alongside my own business and family, so I can't always provide immediate or extensive one-to-one technical support.
Suppliers & Collaborations
Can brands or suppliers work with MagMaker Hub?
Yes. I'm open to hearing from manufacturers, suppliers, software companies and other businesses relevant to the magnet-making community.
This can include product testing, affiliate partnerships, collaborations and content opportunities.
Does sending you a product guarantee a recommendation?
No.
Receiving a gifted product, affiliate opportunity or paid collaboration does not automatically mean I will recommend a product to the MagMaker Hub community.
Trust is important to what I'm building, so recommendations need to reflect my genuine experience with the product.
Are prices and features on MagMaker Hub always current?
I do my best to keep the information on MagMaker Hub current, but suppliers regularly change prices, stock, shipping, discounts and software features.
MagMaker Hub is independently run, so occasionally something may change before I've had a chance to update the page.
Always confirm important pricing, compatibility, stock and feature information directly with the supplier before purchasing.
What currency are prices shown in?
Unless otherwise stated, prices listed directly by MagMaker Hub are shown in Australian dollars (AUD).
External supplier websites may display their own local or selected currency, so always check the currency before completing your purchase.
